| Pioneer offers a handsome range of Audio/Video receivers in Europe and Japan that cannot be purchased here. Listed below are just a few examples. Pioneer VSX-909RDS-G
The VSX-909RDS-G boasts 110 watts for every one of its channels and features the latest surround sound modes. The G in the product number stands for gold finish, and it is a very rich looking finish too. Look in any Pioneer dealer showroom in England and this receiver is prominently displayed, but it can also be purchased in Europe. Of course, you can't buy it in America, but let's hope that will change one day. Pioneer VSX-859RDS-G
There is also a VSX-859RDS-G model, with, curiously, 100 watts per channel, which is 10 watts less per channel. Why did Pioneer bother? At any rate, the layout of the front panel is somewhat different from the VSX-909 and the remote is black instead of champagne gold. It has virtually all the features of the above model, with slightly less power. Shame it isn't sold in the U.S.! Pioneer VSX-D811S-S
The VSX-D811S-S (for silver) is a fully featured A/V receiver with, as Pioneer puts it: "...all surround formats with its 7.1 channel input and its included decoding support for DTS-ES Discrete, Dolby Digital EX, Pro Logic II and DTS-Neo:6. Its 6-channel equal power amplifier is designed to provide output to a set-up of 7 speakers. Dual surround back speakers generate more natural and smooth sound stage and put you right in the middle of the action with sound flying straight over your head. The Quick Set-up makes surround set up simple." There is a VSX-D711S-S model identical in appearance with slightly less power.Pioneer sells comparable A/V receiver in the U.S. but they are black only.
