There are rays of hope that Pioneer is introducing new components to the American market finished in silver, not black.  This page will illustrate and describe the new components as they become available.  These new products are a positive sign that silver finish components are slowly returning to the American market.  The photos used here are from Pioneer's North American website and are used for illustration purposes only.

DV-AX10 Digital Media Player

 

 

 

 

 

The new for 2002, the DV-AX10 is the most sophisticated and expensive multi-digital media player built by Pioneer.  First off, the list price is $5999.00--lets make it official and say $6000.  Pioneer designed it to be a reference standard DVD, CD and SACD player using the latest Pioneer design thinking and finest components and construction. It was designed to accommodate not only present digital technologies but other digital formats that will be arriving on the market in the near future.

DVR-7000 DVD Recorder


The DVR-7000 is Pioneer'sElite DVD recorder and player.  With a current list price of around $2000, it appeals mostly to high-end users, but no doubt the technology will advance, as it always has, to bring the price down under $1000 or less in the future. The DVD recorder will probably one day supplant the VCR as the recording medium of choice.  

VSX-C300 Receiver

The VSX-C300 receiver is currently (2002) Pioneer's only receiver offered in the USA in a silver finish.  It is obviously a low-profile design but still having an impressive number of features for an M.S.R.P. of $450.00.  It features 5.1 digitial surround sound, including DTS, for DVDs.  It features 50 watts per channel in stereo and 50 watts per channel in surround.  It has an automatic setup feature that actually detects the environment of the room, and number and size of the speakers. 

DV-656A CD & DVD Player

You can have the latest digital playback technology with an M.S.R.P. of $329.00 and finished in silver to boot with the DV-656A.  It has virtually all the capabilities a consumer would want in a cd/DVD player today at a very affordable price.
